Denali Shuttle

Description

Join us on a trip to Denali National Park and Preserve, allowing you to view Alaska’s tallest and most famous mountain up close and personal.

Denali, also known as Mount McKinley, is the tallest mountain in North America, standing over 20,000 feet above sea level. The mountain was first sighted by Europeans in 1794 when British naval captain George Vancouver noticed it while exploring Alaska’s southern coast, and a later account by gold miner William Dickey in 1897 named it the tallest mountain on the continent. First summited in 1913, Denali has become one of Alaska’s most popular tourist attractions and is located roughly midway between Fairbanks and Anchorage. Denali National Park and Preserve, which surrounds the mountain, is larger than the state of New Jersey.

While climbing the mountain itself is a difficult endeavor reserved for experienced climbers, Denali National Park and Preserve has many other activities for visitors of all skill levels, from hiking trails to kayaking and much more. The nearby town of Talkeetna, which inspired the TV show Northern Exposure, is also a popular tourist destination for its eclectic culture. Whether you’re into hiking, fishing, dog sledding, art, or more, Denali National Park and Preserve has something to offer you.

Our shuttle will take you from Fairbanks to Denali National Park and Preserve along the scenic Parks Highway. Relax as our experienced drivers get you to Denali and back while our skilled tour guides keep you entertained with facts about the mountain and the other sights you’ll see along the way.
